After months of running around like a chicken with its head cut off, both my husband and I had some breathing room in our schedules and decided to take our much awaited honeymoon. We chose Hawaii. This was a wonderful place to get away from it all and enjoy each other’s company without the constant interruption of the rat race.
We also took this opportunity to say goodbye to my dear assistant of 18 years, Rita ; whose ashes we spread on the sea off of Waikiki beach. An assistant is such a deeply personal bond and it was lonely to be able to share that with my husband Greudyn.
Sometimes you need to turn your blackberry off and enjoy the sound of the sea and not your email alerts. Put your phone on OFF (not vibrate) and enjoy the connection of your loves ones and accept that the sun will still rise if you don’t get back to business that day or even the next…
I say Good bye to Rita and hello to more needed down times and while there is only one honeymoon, we have a lifetime of full moons to enjoy together.
