Not everyone can travel to Italy to see the majestic beauty of the chapel, and that’s where the exhibition “Capela Sistina: A Obra-Prima de Michelangelo” comes in, licensed by my company SEE and currently on display in São Paulo! SKIP TO TICKETS!
This exhibition located in the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), brings a full-scale replica of the Sistine Chapel to São Paulo, including Michelangelo’s breathtaking artwork. The MIS, where the exhibition is located, is a cultural hub in São Paulo, and it’s the perfect place for the Capela Sistina exhibition to shine.
Visitors can walk through the chapel and experience the same stunning art and architecture as if they were standing right in Vatican City! Similarly to our current exhibit: Michelagelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition, this is also a rare opportunity for people who are unable to travel to Italy to experience the grandeur and details of the Sistine Chapel, from an Up-Close and in this case, larger-than-life projections!
14 rooms curated over over a thousand square meters, promises a faithful and detailed replica of the original chapel to the people of São Paulo, and it certainly delivers. The art is meticulously crafted to replicate the originals, and the attention to detail is exceptional. The ceiling frescoes are particularly impressive, and visitors can stand beneath them, feeling as though they are standing in the real Sistine Chapel. This tunnel-like-immersion was inspired by the ceiling layout, of our world touring experience.
The exhibition icludes some truly unique experiences like:
-A deep dive into letters, manuscripts and documents about the devlopment of the work
-An incredible doll-house sized maquette of the Entire Sistine Chapel!
-A selfie Op of the Vatican Museum
-A branded bus of the creation of Adam
-Immersive projection mapped rooms that are truly transportive
If you’re in São Paulo, don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the beauty and grandeur of the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo’s most iconic masterpieces reproduced with high artistry and care. The exhibition is available for a limited time only, so be sure to GET YOUR TICKETS and witness Michelangelo’s masterpiece for yourself!
